In 1667, Anne Marie Martel, after having been sent to the women and the sick of the hospital of Aiguilhe, went to teach catechism to the children and young people of the St. Laurent district, a poor area of the city. Thus began the mission of Anne Marie Martel.

Today, this mission continues on four continents through the "Child Jesus Family": religious and lay people who carry the same gift.

2017 will be for the whole congregation a year of thanksgiving that all, sisters and laity are invited to prepare and live together.
