Sister Margaret Sadler attended the year’s fundraising event 2023 of Catholics Missions in Canada (CMIC), which raises funds to help support missionaries in home missions in Toronto. She was presented with an award for her missionary service.
The organization helped Sister Margaret when she was in the Keewatin-Le Pas diocese through funds they sent to her Bishop. The archdiocese then paid her salary, gave her a food allowance, and supplied the funds she requested for her ministry and Church upkeep.
Sister Margaret did not think that she had a right to be rewarded. She shared that she did what she was mandated by the Diocesan Bishop and her Canadian Congregation. However, Thank God that the award happened and acknowledged what she did for others and missionary service.
