Contemplation of Christ's love for us

Lord, even before I am,
you looked at me and called me by name.
Like the mother who is about to give birth prepares the cradle for her baby,
you, my Lord and my God,
you had prepared for me the cradle of your grace.
Yes, Lord, you have loved me
as if there had been no other soul in the world but mine
because you thought of each of us as if we were unique to you.
Yes, Lord, you loved me and you gave your life for me!
